The debut major label album from Maryland rapper Logic (Sir Robert Bryson Hall II) follows a series of digital download mixtapes that set the stage over the years for the remarkable success of this release. Spurred on by advance singles Buried Alive and the title track, Under Pressure peaked at number four on Billboard's mainstream chart and sold over 70,000 copies its first week out in the US. Deeply personal and autobiographical, Logic admits the subject matter is extremely dark, a reflection of his grim childhood and troubled upbringing.
"Growing up there were guns in the house, my brothers were out selling crack. I grew up on Section 8 housing, food stamps, welfare and dealing with social services. I never had a Christmas, I never had a birthday."
