Digital Booklet
This album celebrates Clara Schumann, her music and the intricate artistic circle that surrounded her. Schumann’s superb musicianship and pianistic genius are demonstrated on these exquisite works, interpreted with sensitivity by Mika Sasaki. Schumann's legacy lives on through these pieces and through the strong influence she had on her musical family. "As the year 2016 marks the 120th and 160th anniversaries of the deaths of Clara and Robert Schumann, I was also delighted to include Obsidian Liturgy, composed for me and Clara Schumann by my dear friend and colleague, Max Grafe. The piece unfolds through a sequence of emotionally dramatic musical events ..." - Mika Sasaki
96 kHz / 24-bit, 88.2 kHz / 24-bit PCM – Yarlung Records Studio Masters

88.2 kHz / 24-bit stereo AIFF, FLAC and 96 kHz / 24-bit SonoruS Holographic AIFF, FLAC From Yarlung Records:

This is Yarlung’s first album available both in stereo and in SonoruS Holographic Imaging. For people interested in SonoruS Holographic Imaging, please go to yarlungrecords.com/sonorus to download the holographic imaging test tracks to see if they will play well on your system. SonoruS Holographic Imaging was invented by the Dutch engineer Arian Jansen. SHI uses a proprietary matrix incorporating phase, timing and EQ information to reproduce a three-dimensional listening experience from two speakers. With the correct playback setup, this format can fill the room with musical information, with sound coming from up to 270 degrees around the listening position. Holographic Imaging only works from a center listening position, however, and it only works if every component in the playback chain is phase coherent. Please download Holographic Imaging test tracks first to determine if your system can accurately portray the signal circling around your listening position. If it can, enjoy! If it cannot, we recommend the [88.2 kHz / 24-bit] stereo version instead. Your test tracks are available at yarlungrecords.com/sonorus

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
