This release is entirely compositions for flute and piano, composed in the second half of the 20th and 21st centuries. All of these works are recorded by Patricia Surman and Kostas Chardas. Patricia Surman is a Yamaha performing artist, has an activie solo chamber and orchestral flutist. She attends and gives masterclasses regularly around the world. She joined the Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty and enjoys teaching students the joys of the flute. Aaron Copland's Duo for Flute and Piano as well as Lukas Foss's Three American Pieces for Flute and Piano can be heard on this album.
