Among the participants are Gregory Porter, Melody Gardot, Nikki Yanofsky, Laika, Stacey Kent, Jamie Cullum and China Moses, backed by an orchestra directed and arranged by Rob Mounsey. Several of the tunes included on Jazz Loves Disney have either been nominated for or won Academy Awards, a true acknowledgment of the quality of such wonderful standards. Walt Disney loved jazz and paid great attention to the music in his films: dedicated teams were entrusted to write and perform the essential songs that carried the emotional messages of beloved characters.
