Piano Forte: The Next Generation spotlights five young pianists from Austria and neighbouring countries the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. The up-and-coming musicians were granted the opportunity to present their talents to an enthusiastic audience during a weeklong concert series at the Bank Austria Salon in Vienna's Old City Hall. The concerts were recorded and the highlights compiled for this double album, featuring works by J.S. Bach, Chopin, Janáček, Bartók and contemporaries.
