Frédéric Kummer and François Schubert delighted 19th-century audiences with their violin/cello duos, and the cohesiveness of their ensemble owed at least in part to their collaboration as joint composers. This recording presents the signature fast runs, double stops and chords and pizzicato and harmonics of the pair with three sets of duets.
