Digital Booklet
"... (Evans) at the pinnacle of his career ... one of jazz’s most nuanced and lyrical pianists." - DownBeat On A Monday Evening offers Bill Evans fans a rare treat: an unreleased (and never bootlegged!) concert recording of the Bill Evans Trio, featuring bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Eliot Zigmund, from November 15, 1976. Captured live at a packed show at the Union Theater in Madison, Wisconsin and remastered from the original analogue tapes, On A Monday Evening finds Evans at the top of his game, performing both contemporary compositions from that era and his longstanding signature tunes. Liner notes by Grammy Award-winning jazz historian Ashley Kahn round out the package, featuring commentary by Gomez and Zigmund.
192 kHz / 24-bit, 96 kHz / 24-bit PCM – Fantasy Records Studio Masters

This album is a high-resolution digital transfer of material originating from an analogue master source. It may contain noise, distortion or other artifacts, and may also contain audio which is limited in bandwidth or dynamic range, due to the technology used at the time of its original creation. As such, it is offered as a high-resolution documentation of a historical release. Tracks 1 - 8 – contains monophonic material - i.e., both channels are identical

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
