Legendary Brazilian cellist Antonio Meneses is joined by Claudio Cruz and the Royal Northern Sinfonia for this release celebrating his 60th birthday. Featuring three delicious works, Schumann's Cello Concerto in A Minor, Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, and Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, Meneses is still at the height of his musical powers, and he is ably accompanied by the players of the Sinfonia.
