With their first release, Bridges, violinist Adam Baldych and the Helge Lien Trio innovated a new vocabulary for jazz violin, taking cues from contemporary jazz greats such as Charlie Haden, Wayne Shorter and Keith Jarrett, rather than the more expected Stephane Grappelli or Jean-Luc Ponty. On Brothers, Baldych and the trio join forces once again for an emotional release dedicated to the memory of Baldych's deceased brother.
