Bassist Gary Peacock has enjoyed over six decades of recording with the who's who of jazz including Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Albert Ayler. Following the disbanding of Jarrett's Standards Trio, Peacock has tried his hand at piano trio leadership on the 2015 Now This with pianist Marc Copland and drummer Joey Baron. Tangents is their follow-up, with Peacock contributing five originals to the eleven tunes on the album, which also includes a striking version of Blue in Green.
