Digital Booklet
"Feldmann is a very good, very nimble violinist ... he is a master of the virtuoso repertoire, where temperament and individual style count for everything and he lavishes this piece with those." - American Record Guide "Everybody should find something of interest in this well-chosen programme and everybody should find something of interest in each of its selections: the shifting expression in Ysaÿe’s work, the revelatory dialogues in Beethoven’s, Feldmann’s assurance in Bartók’s and his panache in Waxman’s. Strongly recommended." - Fanfare On his debut album, award-winning German violinist Tobias Feldmann is joined by pianist Boris Kusnezow on pieces by Beethoven and Waxman alternating with two works for solo violin that let Feldmann take the spotlight: Eugène Ysaÿe’s frequently played Third Sonata, dedicated to George Enescu, along with Bartók’s formidable Violin Sonata (including the quarter tones in the last movement). Feldmann plays the programme on a 1703 Stradivarius on loan to him.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
