Billed as "modern chamber jazz," this debut album from the Danny Fox Trio is the result of three years of rehearsing, jamming and playing live. The trio honed its interpretations collaboratively; the clarity and detail as well as the meshing of the three voices are impressive. The improvisations flow out of the composed material organically and the roles of each musician vary creatively from song to song.
