Raul Midón's pointedly titled album Don't Hesitate demonstrates why he's earned massive critical acclaim and a passionately devoted international fan base. This 2014 release is a musical and personal milestone for Midón, who took control of every aspect of the album's recording process despite being blind since birth. He cut all of the tracks in his home studio, playing most of the instruments himself and handling all of the project's technical elements on his own using special computer software that enabled him to engineer the sessions. Midón is joined here by special guest vocalists Dianne Reeves and Lizz Wright, noted jazz bassist Marcus Miller and R&B legend Bill Withers.
