Volume seven of Rossini’s complete piano music Péchés de vieillesse ("Sins of Old Age") presents excerpts from six of the fourteen albums to include works for both solo piano and for piano and voices. Two of the pieces, Andantino mosso, recently discovered in manuscript, and La notte del Santo Natale are premiere recordings. Conductor Marco Berrini leads the Ars Cantica Consort, the Ars Cantica Choir and a cast of stellar soloists.
