Astoria dedicates itself exclusively to interpreting the works of Astor Piazzolla, without a doubt the best known composer of Argentinian music. On this album, Astoria embarks on a new aspect of Piazzolla’s life and career: his film scores. Between Enrico IV, Illustrious Corpses or Tango: The Exile of Gardel, the ensemble proposes the discovery, on one hand, of scores composed for the movies and, on the other, pieces reprised by great film directors for adorning their creations with the colours of the Piazzolla tango.
