Till the Stars Fall is the debut solo album from British tenor Matthew Long, featuring exquisite songs from the English song repertoire alongside folk songs of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The varied accompaniment of guitar, piano and orchestra leads the listener on a journey through well known classics such as Jerusalem, Danny Boy and Auld Lang Syne, taking in other lesser known songs on the way from Holst, Vaughan Williams and Finzi. "At the heart of this collection is what we might call ‘traditional music’. Music of the people. The songs I’ve chosen here demonstrate a rich heritage of music and story telling of which we can be proud ... the tunes and stories of the folk tradition were an integral part of their musical palette. In working with guitar, piano and orchestra I wanted to reflect the different meanings we can all draw from this music: the intimate, the expressive, the patriotic. - Matthew Long

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
