This four-song EP from Incubus is the first of two EPs planned for release in 2015, the first new music from the band in four years and the beginning of a relationship with a new record label. The EP was preceded by the release of two singles, the top 20 rock track Absolution Calling and the title song. According to the band's lead guitarist Mike Einziger, Make Out Party is the "heaviest" Incubus has recorded to date, while he says Dance Like You’re Dumb is the band's version "of a loud aggressive rock song, definitely not what someone would expect ..."
