"Four Stars. The musicians are all known as jazz musicians, but within this group they have shown that jazz sensibilities can be just as effective when used in rock music. This is a progressive rock album that captures the very essence of progressive rock. It transcends the genres it is inspired by to create new, original and unique music that is worth listening to by fans of any genre." - All About Jazz Swedish band Tonbruket reaches dizzying new heights with a sonic soundscape that mixes the hypnotic textures and grooves of contemporary post-rock instrumentalism with elements from post-1970s progressive and space rock, all within the framework of the band's own lyrical, positively tuneful compositions. The songs are a reflection of the recording location, the legendary Abbey Road Studios, where the band very effectively adapted its rock-fuelled live sound to suit the ambience of the massively spacious Studio 2. The whole setting proved an idyllic one for Tonbruket, whose name translates into English as "sound factory." "... a dream come true for us ... after being here all day, I listen to lots of stuff and I think I can hear the sound of these other records made here. Yesterday I listened to the celesta we were playing and it’s the same one used on Time by Pink Floyd." - Dan Berglund, bassist

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
