This debut album from Publicist UK is cerebral and dark, yet boasts an infectious post-punk groove in the same vein as groups like Beastmilk, Iceage and Joy Division. Despite the name, the band is not from the U.K. but rather includes current and former members of American bands Revocation, Municipal Waste and Freshkills, among others. Originally conceived as a long distance experiment, Publicist UK quickly and effortlessly became a fully functioning band.
