This is the third volume in an internationally acclaimed series of recordings of Pablo de Sarasate’s works for violin and orchestra from young Chinese violinist Tianwa Yang, joined by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra led by Ernest Martínez Izquierdo. The highlight of this programme is the Magic Flute Fantasy, a masterpiece of the genre à la Paganini. The highly popular Navarra, the charming Muiñiera with its bagpipe effects and the bewitching Venetian Barcarolle are also brought to life thrillingly on this recording.
