Among the most important young jazz stars today is vibraphonist Warren Wolf, whose remarkable second album Wolfgang comprises nine tunes, six of which are originals. Wolf is joined by two different three-man rhythm sections: the first consists of pianist Benny Green, bassist Christian McBride and drummer Lewis Nash; the other trio includes pianist Aaron Goldberg, bassist Kris Funn and drummer Billy Williams, Jr. As well, pianist and label mate Aaron Diehl guests on two noteworthy duo pieces.
