Fate Line is the first full album of original and soulful music from Jen Schaffer and the Shiners, the follow-up to the band's four-song EP from 2009. Schaffer, a Montréal native, spent some time in the Appalachian foothills of Ohio before finally settling in Toronto, where she's been writing, performing and recording her own original roots music. Her personal musical style evolved out of a childhood steeped in The Band, Jimmy Cliff and a later immersion into the world of bluegrass and alternative country. The end result on this album is soulful acoustic country with harmonies, syncopated beats and a deeper bass. "... our sound and songs have evolved, we’ve honed our ensemble playing and many more songs have been written. We all felt that a full length album was ripe for the making ..." - Jen Schaffer and the Shiners

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
