Author Stefan Boublil (The Considered Life) says the four songs on this debut EP are his first attempt to share the music he's been hearing in his head for the past 40 years. The Pressure is performed by an eight piece, international band put together especially for the occasion and was recorded in Paris at Daft Punk's analogue studio. Displaying his varied influences ranging from George Duke and Herbie Hancock to D'Angelo and Robert Glasper, these songs deal with the many ways humans too often succumb to the influences of others. Boublil describes The Pressure as the beginning of an ode to independence.

They became incredible musicians and brought a few of their talented friends with them making for a reunion, musical and otherwise, of supreme proportions."
