To mark the approaching 30th anniversary of Roxette's founding in 1986, the band's guitarist and songwriter Per Gessle pored over hundreds of hours of recordings to assemble a series of rare demos. As Gessle has said in interviews, many of Roxette's demos had full-scale productions and arrangements; sometimes the original ideas and sounds turned up in later songs. This is volume one in the series and contains demos from as far back as 1986 all the way up to 2011 along with conversation clips from Roxette biographer Sven Lindström.
"Roxette is almost 30 years old by now. There have been so many songs recorded, so many ideas cherished or thrown away. This first volume of demos contains songs that made it to our albums and a few that we screwed up in the studio along the way. Or maybe they weren’t good enough. Sometimes it’s hard to know when you’re in the center of things."
