Released in 2013 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Benjamin Britten's birthday, this collection includes all three suites for solo cello, performed by star UK cellist Jamie Walton. The composer dedicated these suites to Rostropovich, with the passionate Third in particular inspired by Rostropovich’s rich and romantic performances of Bach’s unaccompanied suites.
