This mini-album consists of a triptych of related works by young American composer Carson Cooman, the centrepiece being the significant and rich Fourth Symphony for orchestra and two harps. Its mood fits the title Liminal, meaning "on the edge of major change." As with all of Cooman's work, the music is totally accessible, not avant-garde, but explores many modern techniques to produce such effective expression of ideas. Organist Erik Simmons joins the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kirk Trevor on the final piece, Prism.
