Conductor Leopold Stokowski was known for his unflagging support of contemporary composers, as demonstrated on this 1958 recording devoted to symphonies by two contemporary American composers, Roger Goeb and Ben Weber. Stokowski leads his own orchestra on Goeb's Symphony No. 3, which the conductor premiered in a live radio broadcast in 1952. Baritone Warren Galjour joins the orchestra on Weber's most powerful work, his Symphony on Poems of William Blake.
