Digital Booklet
|
"Four Stars ... there is no denying Radulović's phenomenal skill and flair ... he micro-inflects every phrase with a truly dazzling range of dynamics, temporal freedom and vibrato rates. Heard one piece at a time, the sheer intensity of it all is deeply affecting, even overwhelming on occasion ..."
- BBC Music Magazine
"Radulović is a brilliant young violinist with a commanding appearance and stage presence and a dazzling performance technique ... a whirlwind musical journey through the traditions of Eastern Europe ... Radulovic absolutely dazzles with his passion and artistry, but especially in the traditional numbers where it sounds as if his instrument might just combust."
- Classic FM
Exciting young Serbian violinist Nemanja Radulović commands the spotlight on this programme that ranges from Swan Lake to Schindler's List. Now based in Paris, Radulović's heart remains in the Balkans and the music that first inspired him, both traditional and classical, still courses through his veins and this album. Radulović take listeners on a musical voyage that mirrors his life, accompanied by musicians from his two regular ensembles, Les Trilles du Diable and Double Sens, plus his longtime musical partner, pianist Laure Favre-Kahn and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Michail Jurowski.
