"Leonardo possesses a unique spirit and is a virtuoso extraordinaire on the violin ... the spirit of the age inhabits him. By this I mean he is a citizen of the world, a modern man in the truest sense. In fact he shows us how easily we can communicate across cultures if the desire and effort are there."
- Wynton Marsalis
Father and son tango violinists join together on this recording of both traditional and Nuevo Tango, with guests including Cristian Zarate, "Pipi" Piazzolla, Lautaro Greco, Daniel Falasca and Roberto Tormo. Both generations of violinists are highly in demand: recognized as the world’s leading Nuevo Tango violinist, father Fernando Suarez Paz recorded 18 albums with Astor Piazzolla and has worked with Burt Bacharach, Lalo Schifrin, Michel Legrand and Yo-Yo Ma. His son Leonardo has recorded with Luis Miguel, Placido Domingo and Stanley Jordan, to name but a few.
