Buenos Aires-based Nicolás Sorín leads the untraditional lineup he calls Octafonic on the group's second release, an explosive cocktail of music, ideas and images. The triple Latin Grammy nominee Sorin brings to the table everything he has absorbed working in punk rock, jazz, orchestral conducting, producing and composing for film on Mini Buda, produced by the band, mixed by Hector Castillo (Roger Waters, Björk, Lou Reed) and mastered in the US by Dave McNair (Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Prince). The album features guest appearances from Tito Fuentes on What and Lula Bertoldi, Sorin's partner and mother of their son, on Slow Down.
"It's a lot more rock but I also think it's more eclectic, plays a lot with the styles. While the themes do not lose their playfulness nor fun, I also talk about serious things in the lyrics and in the music itself."
- Nicolás Sorín
