Digital Booklet
"Carter has developed a gratifying maturity in her singing ... as strong as anything (she) has ever recorded." - NPR Carter Girl is the first album of new recordings this decade from Americana legend Carlene Carter. Produced by Don Was, the album is Carlene’s personal homage to the Carter Family legacy that is the cornerstone of so much of America’s music and is part of Carter's own heritage. Among the guests helping Carter honour her family are Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Vince Gill. There are also vocal contributions from Carter's family members: aunts Helen and Anita Carter as well as her mom June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash appear on the chorus of I Ain’t Gonna Work Tomorrow.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
