Founder member of Bill Grogans Goat used songs that grew out of the Covid Crisis and material the “needed to get out of his head” along with songs that did not fit the “Goats” persona .
This is a diverse album that dives into Gerard’s roots musically, and then interprets the progressive genre through his personal creative prism. The melody, and the song are at the core of this album, yet he digs into the darker depths of the Prog genre at the same time.
Detroit Born multi-instrumentalist Gerard Smith is the product of his influences growing up in the Irish Enclave of Emmett, Michigan, and has played in acts as diverse as avant jazz with Faruq Z. Bey, to Celtic Folk and all points West, East, North, or South in the last 25 years.
