"(Among the goodies) is a totally reworked version of their classic We Will Rock You ... the stomping and clapping from the original take is replaced by a searing, straight-up rock ‘n’ roll version, complete with maximum riff-heavy guitar by Brian May ... fans will recognize this pumped-up take on the song from several Queen concert albums ..." - UltimateClassicRock.com This double album contains 24 songs Queen recorded over six radio sessions between 1973 and 1977 exclusively for the BBC. The series of landmark broadcasts yielded alternate and unique takes of classic tracks, even a radically reworked reimagining of an anthem. Meticulously restored by Queen engineer Kris Fredriksson and mastered by Grammy Award winner Adam Ayan, Queen On Air is more than just a collection of rarities: it is a glorious snapshot of the evolution of the group. Queen’s very first BBC session dates from February 1973, five months before the release of the band’s debut LP and single. Listeners were hearing music from Queen for the very first time ever. At the opposite end of the timeline, Queen's sixth and final BBC performance in October 1977 resulted in a fast version of We Will Rock You, the only known studio recording of this live favourite.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
