This 2014 compilation includes Nat King Cole's most swinging performances, a rare unreleased track, and a pair of duets with Dean Martin. A researcher at Capitol Records spent two years combing through the label's vaults to find this treasure trove of lost and unreleased material, some over 50 years old. In addition to essential Nat King Cole hits Mona Lisa, Unforgettable and (Get Your Kicks On) Route 66, this deluxe edition adds 14 rare and/or previously unreleased songs, never-before-heard vintage tracks and alternate takes. Of special interest are two songs recorded in 1954, featuring Cole poignantly trading vocals with daughters Carole and Natalie.
