The Grateful Dead's drummer Mickey Hart released this world music album in 1991 in conjunction with a book of the same title, both celebrating percussionists from different musical cultures around the world. Hart earned the first-ever world music Grammy Award for Planet Drum, which also hit number one on Billboard's world music chart. This 25th anniversary reissue includes three bonus tracks.
