New Zealand pianist Kemp English started his series of recordings of Leopold Koželuch's 50 keyboard sonatas in 2013, earning critical acclaim and widespread praise with each volume. This seventh installment focuses on the years 1788 and 1789, by which time the Czech composer's command of form and texture proves as daring as his harmonic palette. Three of the four sonatas presented here are world premieres.
