"It's one of the most thrilling rocksteady albums to have been made since the genre emerged in the late '60s."

"... this quartet from Queens, New York, stay devotedly close to the languid but edgy sound of late 1960s rocksteady ... (lead singer Dan Klein's) keening falsetto is at the heart of the record, a set of elegant, tortured love songs that occasionally betray Klein’s anguish ..."
- The Guardian

"(They) would not have sounded out of place at the fabled Studio One in Kingston ... a vocalist who sounds like a cross between Desmond Dekker and Smokey Robinson. Possessing a gorgeously effortless falsetto, Dan Klein anchors the group’s sound. Recorded in mono, the album inhabits a space entirely out of time, transcending its 21st century origins and sounding as though it was instead some lost classic from the golden age of both rocksteady and Jamaican music in general ... cements the Frightnrs’ position as one of, if not the best, American rocksteady, let alone soul, acts working today. Even if this does prove to be the end, there’s more than enough here to be enjoyed for years to come, let alone definitive proof of the late Dan Klein’s vocal brilliance."
- PopMatters.com

Nothing More to Say is a soulful and honest rocksteady masterpiece from Queens band the Frightnrs. With the exception of two soul covers, the mono album is loaded with original compositions of the highest order, each one having enough melodic and lyrical substance to hold its own in any genre. Lead singer Dan Klein, who died between the recording and release of Nothing More to Say, pours his endearing poetry over the top like some otherworldy falsetto potion, resulting in a combination that is naked and raw, mesmerizing, infectious and above all, lovely.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
