The Essen native switched from the guitar to the bass ten years ago and, inspired by a workshop with Yellowjackets bassist Jimmy Haslip, Malte Winter founded the jazz-rock/fusion quintet MWEB (Malte Winter Electric Band). Melting Worlds is the debut album of Malte Winter's jazz-rock/fusion quintet MWEB (Malte Winter Electric Band), and as the title suggests, the bassist adds stylings taken straight from the fusion genre of the 1970s and 80s in his compositions, bringing its pleasing variants together. It's inevitable that the listener will also associate names like Sanborn, Kriegel, John Lee & Gerry Brown or Dean Brown. But these are only brief impressions, because in the end the sovereign and technically perfect playing MWEB self-confidently breaks away from such templates in its nine pieces, creating its own sound world, which then even allows for psychedelic excursions. pleasantly harmonious, at the same time intensely driving and consistently sonorous.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
