Celebrated singer-songwriter Claude Gauthier releases his 19th studio album, Aux enfants de demain, more than six decades after his early success with "Le soleil brillera demain". The artist has been in declining health, so the achievement of this album may have been deprived from us, is something to celebrate in itself.
The beautiful journey of Gauthier, which started from Lac-Saguay and has traveled around Quebec so many times, continues: the enfants de demain ("children of tomorrow") are invested with a mission, to remain "beaux et forts pour garder le fort" ("beautiful and strong to hold down the fort"). The album features songs for parents, songs to evoke the end as much as to declare oneself alive, songs of tenderness and closeness - and all Gauthier's beautiful voice resonates with the unwavering love of a man for his country.
