Jürgen Budday leads the Hannoversche Hofkapelle, the Maulbronner Kammerchor and talented vocalists on the unedited 1748 version of Handel's oratorio Joshua, performed according to the traditions of the time. This double album with over two hours of music was recorded live, in direct two-track stereo digital, amid the remarkable acoustics of the church of the German UNESCO World Heritage Site Maulbronn Monastery. The musicians, singers, audience, opus and room come together in an intimate dialogue that is unique and unrepeatable.
