The Analog Girl (Mei Wong) returns after a five year absence with Golden Sugar Crystals, a heady mix of dreamy, edgy and futuristic electro-rock. The Singapore native, named by TIME as one of five Asian acts to watch in 2008, has been compared to other pioneering artists like Yoko Ono and Björk.
"I am known to create material that is dark-sounding, although not always intentionally. And even though most of the songs on this album were written during darker times than normal, it’s turned out to be the first album of mine that seeks light, beauty, truth and hope. So let’s all find our own ways to do what makes us happy, even if just for a moment."
