Gruesome's music is an intentional tribute to the first wave death metal scene that emerged from Tampa, Florida, specifically Death's early period. The mini-album Fragments of Psyche is an absolutely top-notch filthy slab of old school death metal by some of the scene's most qualified players. Featuring the title song with special guest drummer Sean Reinert (Death, Cynic) plus a reworking of the classic Death track Choke on It, Fragments of Psyche offers a glimpse into the next era of Gruesome. The EP includes five deliciously raw bonus demos of the band's first-ever recordings.
