Latvian violinist Gidon Kremer plays a Guarneri del Gesù, ex David, dating from 1730 on this Rachmaninov programme that also features award-winning Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov and talented Lithuanian cellist Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė. The album's title work Preghiera was arranged by Fritz Kreisler from the second movement of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2.
