Digital Booklet
"Roberto Moronn Pérez is a wonderful guitar virtuoso." - Audiophile Audition Award-winning Spanish guitarist Roberto Moronn Pérez follows successful albums featuring Spanish and French composers with this recording of works from the Andrés Segovia Archive showcasing the best compositions from multiple countries. The unique project started in May 2001 when a collection of pieces was recovered at Segovia’s home in Spain. These works, by composers from eight countries, were dedicated to Segovia or commissioned by him and subsequently published as the Segovia Archive Series. Pérez researched the recovered pieces and found some that had never been recorded or had been hindered by poor visibility in the marketplace and limited distribution, sparking a series of albums organized around the nationalities of the composers in the archive. "My goal in this recording, as it was in my two previous ones, is to put together a high quality programme of little known, or in some cases, almost totally neglected gems excluded from the guitar repertoire and to bring new life to these works, playing with the conviction that this music requires. A man’s music is the key to his character and personality, the reflection of his soul, it is the most authentic representation of the composer who wrote it and also of the musician who interprets it.” - Roberto Moronn Pérez

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
