Poldowski was the pen-name of Lady Dan Paul (née Irène Régime Wieniawska), daughter of celebrated Polish violinist and composer Henryk Wieniawski. The 26 art songs compiled in this release feature four world premiere recordings, and showcase Poldowski's wide range of emotions, moods, and tonal colours. Soprano Angelique Zuluaga’s sensitive interpretations of Poldowski's pieces shed new light on these once obscure works.
