Organist Kåre Nordstoga presents the "Six pièces pour Grand Orgue" by French romantic composer César Franck, originally features in Franck's "Grande Pièce Symphonique, Op.17, FWV 29".
Kåre Nordstoga was appointed cantor in Oslo Cathedral in 1984. He has for decades been one of Norway's leading concert organists, performing many concerts in his home country and internationally. Nordstoga has written and arranged a great deal of music for use in the work of an organist. In recent years he was a soloist with symphony orchestras in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, and performed at organ festivals in Århus, Notre Dame in Paris and Musashino Cultural Centre in Tokyo. Nordstoga was nominated twice for a Spellemann Award, and won the Lindeman Prize in 2006. In 2016 he was appointed Knight, First Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St Olav.
