"... displays such unfailing purpose, sensitivity and freshness of new discovery that I felt I was encountering the music for the first time ... sound throughout is superb, gloriously ripe, most judiciously balanced ... I derived enormous pleasure from this release and feel sure you will too."
- Gramophone

"... I can guarantee it doesn’t disappoint on any level ... I love the orchestra’s clean sound and rich resonance, the strings are silky smooth, winds musical and tastefully stylish in terms of vibrato, the brass superbly tuned and powerful where power is demanded ... delivers and will continue to deliver a socking good performance every time ... I’ve enjoyed this recording tremendously ... top-notch ... you won’t go wrong here."
- MusicWeb International

"... excellence is its own justification and this recording is excellent. Claus Peter Flor attacks the music with passion and spontaneity ... it has seldom been better done ... the couplings add considerably to the disc’s attractions. The Czech Suite is so lovely that it’s almost embarrassing ... sound is pretty impressive. This is the best disc in this series so far; the intelligence of the programming combined with the excellence of the performances justifies the highest rating."
- ClassicsToday.com

Claus Peter Flor and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra continue their Dvořák series with the composer's final work in the genre, the often-recorded Symphony No. 9. The symphony is combined on this highly-acclaimed album with the overture Můj domov ("my homeland") and another of Dvořák’s "nationalistic" works, the lighthearted Czech Suite, consisting of five movements, all based on the dance rhythms of Bohemia, Moravia and Central Europe.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
