For his debut commercial solo album, the up-and-coming Brazilian-Romanian pianist Cristian Budu performs Chopin’s Préludes, Op. 28 and Beethoven’s Bagatelles, Op. 33, breathing new life into these much-loved classics. A winner of the prestigious Clara Haskil Competition, Badu has toured extensively and is also the founding director of the Pianosofia “music at home” community outreach programme.
