From the late '80s on Yury Kunets composed for various bands and solo artists and was involved in several musical TV projects as a producer. By 2011 he had accumulated a considerable repertoire of instrumental pieces which he recorded in Wroclaw with the Wroclaw Score Orchestra, award-winning American conductor Lee Holdridge (two Grammies and eight Emmys) and British producer Christopher Alder (10 Grammies). Receiving such positive reaction, Kunets decided to continue his collaboration with Holdridge and Alder on these works which blend elements of classical, jazz and pop music. In his symphonic writing, melody and romance reflect the author’s inner energies.
"The music itself exhibits a very lyrical character, through which I was trying to convey my own understanding of life and my state of mind. It’s the result, so to speak, of my philosophical reflections, little stories about our being surrounded by nature, which is intimately connected in turn with our own emotional lives ..."
