Considered one of the most important cellists of his generation, Asier Polo has chosen romantic sonatas by Rachmaninoff and César Franck for this recital album, recorded in October 2016. The programme also includes a Vocalise-etude by Ravel and Alexander Glazunov's Chant du menestrel. Polo is accompanied by his frequent duo partner, the award-winning Spanish pianist Marta Zabaleta.
